Kids Go Batty Over KidFest ’08
With games, arts, nature, sports, safety, stage shows and tryouts for the National Junior Olympics, this year’s KidFest was the most diverse yet. More than 4,000 attended the May 4 event at Ridge Road Park in Germantown. The ’09 KidFest will be held in mid-county.

Events Are Close to Finalization
With the ’08 Maryland Senior Olympics quickly approaching, most of the events are nearing finalization with dates and locations. The Games will conduct 19 events, starting at the Kentlands 5k Aug. 30 and running through the Rockville 10k on Nov. 2. Registration for events is expected to begin at the end of May.
