The Budget and Procurement Section coordinates the development and management of the annual operating budget and CIP submission for an innovative and sophisticated public safety organization. The Section also provides administrative oversight and management for all procurement actions, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements of the County while meeting the Department's mission. In addition to preparing financial analyses and reports, the Section manages revenue and grant administration and the bill payment process for the entire Department.

The Section serves as liaison with the County offices, departments, vendors, contractors, grantee/grantors, auditors, non-profit organizations, and other public entities.


Services Information

Budget Administration
The Administrative Specialist reports to the Budget & Procurement Manager, and provides assistance in the annual budget development process. Other key tasks include collecting data for quarterly analysis and research on special projects.

Contract Administration
The Department's Contract Administrator is responsible for acquisition planning, preparation of Requests for Expression of Interest (REOI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), Invitations for Bids (IFB), Public Entity Procurements, Informal Solicitations, Emergency Purchases, Bridge Contracts, Sole Source/Non-competitve Procurements, and compliance with the Local Small Business Reserve Program (LSBRP).
