The Montgomery County Alternative Community Services Program is a criminal justice diversion program for adult offenders who have committed offenses and infractions against individuals or the community and who perform community services as a sanction.

The primary mission of the program is to provide an alternative, meaningful and cost effective program in which offenders perform community service as a means to dispose of their criminal case, reduce financial impact to the court and the community.

Services Information

The information provided in the alcohol education class is an essential part of the overall effort to assist participants in abstaining from or using alcohol responsibly and in a law-abiding manner. A review of laws and penalties associated with drinking and driving are reviewed.  Participants are given information about alcohol abuse and addiction and ways to address identified issues in treatment and self-help group options. Certain participants are deemed required to complete the 2.5 hour class offered.
