Nonprofit Brown Bag Lunches
In 2007, County Executive Ike Leggett expanded the scope of the Office of Community Partnerships to include responsibility for strengthening the capacity of the County's nonprofits. Also in 2007, nonprofit leaders established Nonprofit Montgomery! to build the collective strength, visibility, and influence of the nonprofit sector in Montgomery County in order to create a just and caring community. Nonprofit Montgomery's goal is to build a vibrant social network of nonprofits that enables individual nonprofits and nonprofit leaders to view themselves as part of a larger community that is tackling issues that affect us all.
OCP and Nonprofit Montgomery! jointly host brown bag lunches designed to build relationships of trust across the sectors while increasing knowledge about the contributions of the nonprofit community.
