The Long Branch Community Center is located in the Piney Branch community of Silver Spring. The Center provides a variety of recreational activities for all ages. Long Branch Community Center offers various indoor programs such as: open gym activities, arts and crafts, exercise/leisure classes, group support meetings and socials, senior citizen activities, area and county-wide sports programs, family special events, after school programs, summer camps, programs for individuals with disabilities, holiday parties for children, volunteer opportunities and much, much more! Our indoor facilities include a gymnasium, exercise/weight room, art room, lobby area, community room, meeting room, social hall and computer lab. The outdoor grounds have a small grass area with grills and picnic tables available. Adjacent to our Center is the Long Branch Outdoor Pool.

For those seeking a fitness or sports challenge, our gymnasium is a regulation size 72' X 95' which includes basketball, volleyball and badminton courts. The gymnasium is used for a variety of organized leagues, competitions, instructional programs, and is routinely scheduled for self-directed 'open gym' play. The exercise/weight room is equipped with a full circuit of self-administered weight machines and exercise bicycles. We offer 3 month, 6 month and annual memberships.

Our social hall, which can accommodate 200 to 250 participants, provides space for a variety of social and dance activities. This space is available for private parties with rental fees determined on the type and duration of the event. A warming kitchen is adjacent to the social hall. For smaller meetings of groups with 25 or fewer, we have a meeting room and community room.

Interested in art? Our art room, which is equipped with worktables and a kiln, is scheduled with instructional programs and opportunities for self directed participation. Looking for a game, you'll find opportunities for table tennis, billiards, and foosball among the activities available in the lounge area.
