Our goal is to help your firm save money, time, labor and resources, while helping to protect and enhance the quality of our environment.

We understand that business owners and managers are concerned with reducing operating costs and liability. We also understand that most companies want to do the right thing with respect to regulatory requirements. But staying on top of those requirements and learning about new pollution control strategies and product substitutions can take a substantial amount of time. That is the purpose behind Environmental Partners.

DEP is building on County Executive Duncan’s vision for environmental protection efforts growing out of proactive education and cooperative ventures with our vital business community. Environmental Partners is interested in helping you address the root causes for on-site pollution through training and resources. DEP has done extensive research, in-house training, and now offers a ready-made package of current, cost-effective pollution prevention measures. We only ask that you let us work together with you and your employees to implement some, many, or all of these voluntary actions, depending on your needs and capabilities.

These materials, in the form of factsheets and other supportive materials, are now available as a workbook in hardcopy format. The workbook addresses a wide range of process and product substitutions beneficial to your bottom line. In addition, we address simple training measures, improved housekeeping policies, and proper reuse and recycling options for a variety of common shop materials. All of the suggestions offered are designed to reduce your inventory of hazardous materials, material storage, and disposal costs, as well as eliminate or reduce the requisite liability and regulatory concerns connected with those materials.

Environmental Partners is a new vision for environmental protection and pollution prevention. We look forward to sharing this vision with you to reduce pollution, improve productivity and safety, and make an important contribution to restoring and preserving the quality of our environment and our community.
