Thanks to the thousands of Montgomery County residents, businesses, and organizations who have enrolled in Clean Energy Rewards we avoided over 68,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions through the purchase of clean energy!
Due to increased participation in the program, all available funds for Clean Energy Rewards have been allocated. Should you choose to sign-up for clean energy through a program supplier, you may not receive rewards. If additional rewards become available you will be automatically enrolled in the program based on the date of your clean energy purchase. Rewards will not be retroactive, but will start only if and when funds become available. Customers already enrolled in the program will continue to earn rewards for clean energy used.
Sign-up for Clean Energy Rewards

Montgomery County is helping you make the switch to clean energy! Sign-up for clean energy through one of the program’s approved energy suppliers or REC marketers and you will receive a reward, half a cent ($0.005) for each kilowatt-hour (kWh) of program certified clean energy used. The reward will be included on your energy bill, or will be discounted when you purchase RECs. Even if your electric bill is paid as part of your rent or lease, you can still get clean energy!
