Organization – Community Development Division
The Community Development Division is responsible for the County’s effort to reinvigorate and revitalize older commercial areas in the county including projects in central business districts, small towns, and commercially developed intersections. This effort incorporates the principles of a private/public partnership as a basic operating requirement. This effort relies on various funding sources including Federal, State and local resources.

GRANTS ADMINISTRATION / SPECIAL PROJECTS
The Federal Programs Section has overall responsibility for administering the County’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Shelter Fund (ESG) grant, and HOME grant, all of which are federal programs aimed at addressing the needs of low and moderate income individuals, families, and communities. These programs have an average annual budget of $7 million.
