Please note: the Division of Operations has been reorganized into different divisions, including Highway Services, Traffic Engineering and Operations and Parking Management. See the links below for information on these functions.

The Division of Highway Services performs the following functions:

  • In County rights‑of‑way, maintains and repairs:
    • Roadways
    • Sidewalks
    • Curbs and gutters
    • Bridges
    • Drainage systems
    • Pothole
  • Provides emergency services for:
    • Snow removal
    • Ice treatment
    • Wind and rain storm
  • Also responsible for:
    • Leaf collection program
    • Maintenance of trees and vegetation in rights-of-way, including pruning, removal, spraying, replacement and emergency services
    • Mowing roadway rights-of-way not adjacent to improved properties
    • Permanent patching and resurfacing of streets and roads
    • Permanent replacement of curbs, gutters and sidewalks
    • Street sweeping
