Liquor Control wins a 2007 Partnership Award for its Latino Server Training Initiative at Montgomery's BEST Honor Awards

Congratulations to George F. Griffin for winning the "Drawing the Line on Under 21 Alcohol Use" Spirit of Prevention Award

 

March 2005 - Drawing the Line on Under 21 Alcohol Use recently conferred the Captain Joseph A. Mattingly Memorial Spirit of Prevention Award on George F. Griffin, Director of the Department of Liquor Control for his work in this area.  To see a larger image of this award, Click Here

 

   

Liquor Control's Office of Community Outreach wins the Partnership Award at the 2004 Montgomery's BEST Honor Awards

 

March 2005 - Liquor Control's Office of Community Outreach received a County Partnership Award for "The Gaithersburg Business Alliance", an intergovernmental and civic group committed to improving beverage alcohol practices in the Gaithersburg area.

Maryland Highway Safety Office's Traffic-Safety Awareness for Employers Project "2004 Best Practices" Award

 

October 2004 - The Department of Liquor Control won the 2004 Best Practices Award for its Excellence in Delivery Program, which is the part of a more comprehensive plan that focuses on the importance of traffic safety.  Press Release

DLC Launches 2 year "Parents who Host Lose the Most" Program

 

October 2004 - Montgomery County’s Departments of Liquor Control and Police today launched a two-year public education campaign to inform adults about the legal ramifications and health and safety risks of serving alcohol to anyone under the age of 21.  Barbara Duncan is spokesperson for this campaign, which originated in Ohio. Press Release

Montgomery’s Best Honor Awards

Montgomery’s Best Honor Awards Program won the 2003 NACo Achievement Award. In the same year, the Montgomery County Hospitality Resource Panel in Department of Liquor Control was chosen to receive a Montgomery’s Best County Partnership Award and the Department won a Montgomery’s Best Executive’s Safety Award.
