The 22ND Annual Amateur Photography Competition
For the Annual Amateur Photography Competition, photos of County locations or residents are judged on effective composition, originality, interest, technique and relevance of the subject matter. Subject categories include Montgomery County By Day, By Night, County Landmarks, People, and persons At Work. There is also an optional Youth category for those age 18 and younger who wish to be judged against their peers.
WHO MAY ENTER?
Photographs must be taken in Montgomery County by a Montgomery County resident and submitted by the individual who took the photo.
WHO WILL JUDGE?Photos will be judged by accomplished local photographers in the area. They volunteer their time and expertise. The judging is based on originality, interest of subject matter, visual appeal, and consistency with the chosen categorical theme.
HOW WILL WINNERS BE HONORED?
Photo winners will be announced at the Beautification Ceremony scheduled in mid October. Frist, Second and Thrid place winners will be presented with a certificate, award and gift.
Applications have been mailed to photo clubs and stores that provide photo processing and sell photo equipment, in addition to Regional Service Centers, High Schools and Middle Schools that have Photography Classes, Senior and Recreation Centers, Public Libraries, past participants.

*Make sure to read the rules as photographs can not be larger than 8 1/2 x 11 and should be mounted - You an find these materials at Michaels, Walmart or any store that sells craft supplies.
EXPLANATION OF CATEGORIES:
There are six (6) designated categories that provides the residents of the County with an opportunity to show off their photography skills and beauty of the County. This annual contest celebrates the physical and natural features of the County as well as its residents.
