The Annual Amateur Photography Contest
Photographs of County locations and residents will be accepted and judged on effective composition, originality, interest, technique and relevance of the subject matter. The subject categories included Montgomery County... By Day, By Night, Landmarks, Her People, and persons At Work. There is also an optional Youth category for those aged 18 and younger who wish to be judged against each other.
WHO MAY ENTER
Photographs were taken in Montgomery County by a Montgomery County resident and submitted by the individual who took teh photo. Applications were mailed to previous entrants, photo clubs, photo processing and photo equipment retail stores, regional service centers, high schools and middle school's that offer photography classes, in addition to public libraries, senior and recreation centers.
EXPLANATION OF CATEGORIES
There are six (6) designated categories that provides the residents of the County with an opportunity to show off their photography skills and beauty of the County. This annual contest celebrates the physical and natural features of the County as well as its residents.
Photos taken outdoors during the day that depicts something fun, beautiful or exciting during daylight hours.
Photos taken outdoors of a natural or manmade commonly recognized landmark or scene.
Photos taken outdoors that depicts something fun, beautiful or exciting during nighttime hours.

|Photos taken of one or more persons involved in County activites, close-up or distant, showing leisure activity, productivity, or community service.||Photos taken of one or more persons at work, contributing to the livability and splendor of our County.||
This category will allow only those age 18 and younger to participate and compete against each other.
