LATE ABSENTEE BALLOT VOTING PROCEDURES
Voters who miss the April 15, 2009, deadline to apply for an absentee ballot by mail for the Primary Election on April 21, may apply in person for a late absentee ballot through April 21.
If you are unable to vote in person on Election Day, you may come to the elections office in Rockville for a late absentee ballot prior to Election Day. The office will be open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 15-17 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Voters who cannot come in person to the office may designate another Montgomery County registered voter as their agent to obtain the application. For information on designating an agent, please contact the Absentee Office. After April 15 voters may choose to download an application from the website – www.777vote.org or www.montgomerycountymd.gov/elections. In addition, any registered voter who is handicapped, or age 65 or older whose polling place is inaccessible, may vote by late absentee ballot. The office will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The elections office is located at 751 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, which is about one-half mile north of Veirs Mill Road.
