Montgomery County Board of Elections Moving
The Montgomery County Board of Elections will be moving from Twinbrook Parkway, its location for more than twenty years. The new office, located at 18753-210 N. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg, will provide increased warehouse space for voting equipment and supplies, on-site training facilities for election judges, and state-of-the art security.
Election Director, Margaret Jurgensen, is pleased with the relocation and appreciative of assistance received from the County’s Department of General Services in identifying the property and assisting with the move. “Relocation of the Board of Elections has been a decade long effort to acquire a facility that is adequate for the needs of a jurisdiction the size of Montgomery County to move forward in the ever-changing world of election technology.” She looks forward to preparing for and conducting elections in a modern facility.
Board of Elections’ staff will be moved to the new facility in stages beginning June 22. The office will be closed to the public for two days, tentatively July 1 and 2, reopening in Gaithersburg on July 6. As with all moves, these dates are subject to minor revision. Please refer to our website – www.777vote.org – for specific information prior to visiting the Board of Elections during this period. All phone numbers and e-mail addresses will remain the same.
