In order to grant a waiver, the Ethics Commission will have to rule on whether the proposed activity, if allowed, would in a general sense be in the best interest of the County, whether the importance of the requester's performance of this activity outweighs the actual or potential harm of any conflict of interest, and whether granting the waiver would give the requester an unfair advantage over other employees or members of the public.
