Commissioner Johnson was appointed to the Montgomery County Ethics Commission in February 2005 and was reappointed in 2007. He served as Chair of the Commission from November 2007 to December 2009. Since 2001, he has served the District of Columbia as an Attorney Advisor. He currently serves as an Assistant General Counsel in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer of the District of Columbia. From 1997 until 2001, he worked as a credit analyst for the not-for-profit sector of an international bank and as a commercial management liability underwriter for an insurance company.
Mr. Johnson received his law degree from Temple University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from San Francisco State University. He is a member of the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey bars. He resides in Silver Spring with his wife Tonia and daughter Karis.
