Three new job classes, Enterprise Technology Expert, grade 34, Senior ERP Functional Business Analyst, grade 32, and ERP Functional Business Analyst, grade 30, have been created.  Since these three classes are graded above grade 27, the Director of Human Resources has determined that all positions in these classes must be excluded from the MCGEO Office, Professional, and Technical (OPT) bargaining unit.  This decision is made in accordance with the exclusion in Section 33-102 (4) (P) of the Montgomery County Code, which states: “an employee in a position classified at grade 27 or above unless the employee’s position is reclassified or reallocated on or after July 1, 2002, to a non-supervisory position at grade 27 or above.”

Any individual or agent of the representative certified under County law to represent the OPT bargaining unit who disagrees with this determination may file an objection with Jerome T. Barrett, the Montgomery County Labor Relations Administrator at  200 N. Maple Avenue, #212, Falls Church VA 22046.  Objections must be filed within 10 days of publication of this Register.

Office of Human Resources

Four new job classes: Emergency Vehicle Maintenance Crew Chief, grade 22; Emergency Vehicle Mechanic Technician II, grade 19; Emergency Vehicle Mechanic Technician I, grade 16; and Emergency Vehicle Mechanic Trainee, grade 12, have been created.  As a full first level supervisory class, the Director of Human Resources has determined that the Emergency Vehicle Maintenance Crew Chief class meets the exclusion listed in Section 33-102 (4) (O) of the County Code.  Therefore, this class is excluded from bargaining unit coverage.  The other three classes do not meet any of the exclusions explained in Section 33-102 (4) of the County Code.  Consequently, these three classes are included in the Service, Labor and Trades (SLT) bargaining unit.

Any individual or agent certified under County law to represent the SLT bargaining unit who disagrees with this determination may file an objection with Jerome T. Barrett, the Montgomery County Labor Relations Administrator at 200 N. Maple Avenue, #212, Falls Church VA 22046.  Objections must be filed within 10 days of publication of this Register.

Four new job classes are being created.  The new job classes are Veterinary Assistant - Grade 12, Registered Veterinary Technician - Grade 19, Staff Veterinarian - Grade 29 and Chief Veterinarian, Grade 38.  The Director of the Office of Human Resources has determined under Section 33-105(a) (2) of the Montgomery County Code that the new Veterinary Assistant and the Registered Veterinary Technician job classes must be included in the Office, Professional, and Technical (OPT) bargaining unit because they fall within the definition of “employee” under Section 33-102(4) of the Montgomery County Code.  As lead and supervisory classes, respectively, the Staff Veterinarian and the Chief Veterinarian job classes are excluded from bargaining unit coverage because they meet the exception of the definition of “employee” stipulated in Section 33-102(4)(O).

Any individual or agent of the representative certified under County law to represent the OPT bargaining unit who disagrees with this determination may file an objection with Jerome T. Barrett, the Montgomery County Labor Relations Administrator, at 200 N. Maple Avenue, #212, Falls Church, VA 22046.  Objections must be filed within 10 days of publication of this Register.

One new job classes is being created.  The new job class is Traffic Enforcement Field Service Technician II - Grade 15.  The other existing class has been changed from Traffic Enforcement Field Service Technician to Traffic Enforcement Field Service Technician I – Grade 14.  The Director of the Office of Human Resources has determined under Section 33-105(a) (2)of the Montgomery County Code that the new Traffic Enforcement Field Service Technician II job class and the Traffic Enforcement Field Service Technician I must be included in the Office, Professional, and Technical (OPT) bargaining unit because they fall within the definition of “employee” under Section 33-102(4) of the Montgomery County Code.

Any individual or agent of the representative certified under County law to represent the OPT bargaining unit who disagrees with this determination may file an objection with Jerome T.
