The Montgomery County Department of Finance is announcing the upgrade release of the NACO award winning Finance Electronic Transfer Tax Application, originally designed and developed in 2002 as a re-engineering of the deeds and deeds of trust business process. The new version is designed according to Property Records Industry Association (PRIA) standards allowing title software companies to seamlessly pass data to the Finance Electronic Transfer Tax Application through the use of web service technology.
The latest upgrade version of Finance Electronic Transfer Tax Application combines web service technology with database and document image retrieval to create “real time processing” of deeds and deeds of trust. The processing is paperless, expedites the transfer process, and enables settlement companies to process deeds and deeds of trust online.
The Finance Electronic Transfer Tax application enables electronic interactions between Montgomery County Government, settlement companies, and title software companies.
