Intal® Inhaler

(cromolyn sodium)

Quiet Drug:

Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory

Intal® Inhalation Aerosol is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug intended to prevent asthma attacks.

Intal® is NOT to be administered by EMTBs per Maryland Medical Protocols

Drug Action: Non-steroidal Anti-Inflammatory. Prevents histamine release & other substances that cause hypersensitivity reactions.
WARNING: Intal should not be taken during an asthma attack - It may make the attack WORSE!
Dose:

Usually 2 inhalations (puffs) b.i.d. (2x daily)
