QVAR® Inhalation Aerosol

(beclomethasone dipropionate - HFA)

Quiet Drug:

Anti-Inflammatory - Corticosteroid

QVAR® Inhalation Aerosol is a corticosteroid anti-inflammatory drug intended to prevent asthma attacks that has minimal systemic effects. This inhaler is CFC free, and may have fewer side effects than beclomethasone dipropionate inhalation aerosols containing CFCs.

QVAR® is NOT to be administered by EMTBs per Maryland Medical Protocols

Drug Action:

Corticosteroid Anti-Inflammatory with minimal systemic effects

Dose:

Usually 2 inhalations (puffs) t.i.d - q.i.d. (3-4 times daily), sometimes 4 inhalations (puffs) b.i.d. (twice daily)
