  • Code of Ethics and On-Duty Personal Conduct Regulation
    Status - The Fire Chief introduces the draft regulation for Code of Ethics and On-Duty Personal Conduct. This regulation has been sent to Notice & Opportunity and the Fire Chief is reviewing comments received from this advertisement.


  • Certification Standards for Training, Experience and Credentialing Requirements, Executive Regulation No. 36-08.
    Status - The Fire Chief proposed the draft regulation to the Fire and Rescue Commission on November 13, 2008. This Regulation is being amended to require all MCFRS personnel who are listed on the IECS to complete training in the Standardized National Incident Management System (NIMS), and Incident Command System (ICS) in compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive # 5. The Commission approved the draft regulation on January 8, 2009. The proposed regulation will be sent to the County Executive for his review and signature and then forwarded to the County Council for their review and approval.

  • Apparatus Staffing Policy, No. 25-08
    Status - The Fire Chief proposed the draft Apparatus Staffing Policy to the Fire and Rescue Commission on November 17, 2008. This Regulation is being amended to increase the number of personnel who staff MCFRS apparatus by adding qualified personnel to the minimum staffing levels on primary units, as determined by the Fire Chief. The Commission approved the Apparatus Staffing Policy, No. 25-08 on January 8, 2009. The proposed regulation will be sent to the County Executive for his review and signature and then forwarded to the County Council for their review and approval.

  • Criminal Background Checks for Volunteer Applicants and LFRD Employees, Policy No. 06-04AMII
    Status - The Fire Chief is proposing to amend the current policy for Criminal Background Checks. This policy was sent to the Notice and Opportunity process for review and comment on October 8, 2009.
