units, or may have to be from a secondary response unit.

The
Treatment Officer is responsible for: |

- Designating
treatment areas by priority
- In
a vehicular crash, there may be designated treatment areas
as well as designation of a certain vehicle as a 'treatment
area' based upon the extent of injuries to the occupant(s).
- Supervising
the emergency care rendered to the patients. On a larger incident,
the Treatment Officer may assign officers to each treatment area.
- Advising
the Transportation Officer of patients ready for transport by
priority.
