Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR), Division of Workforce Development, program to support existing Maryland businesses in the retention and growth of their workforce. Provide grants of up to $30,000 for eligible businesses to stregthen their workers' skills.

Plan to Achieve Self-Support (PASS) Social Security Administration

PASS lets individuals with disabilities who receive SSI to set aside income for work-related expenses without reduction of benefits.

Offers individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness the opportunity to become business owners with the unique support offered by supported business enterprise programs. Program includes a series of seminars and coursework that eliminate the guess work and "trial and error" that can lead to business failure. Assist in the development of a business plan. Provide access to professional counselors for planning, marketing, financial, and operations.
