FDA, part of the Federal Government, regulates the safety and effectiveness
of food products, additives, drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics.
Contact the FDA for information on safe drug use and side effects,
vitamins, and laws regulating medicines and foods. FDA has information
on topics including cancer, health fraud, nutrition, buying medicines
online, and food safety. |

Infants, and Children (WIC) Program |
| Federally
funded program that provides healthy supplemental foods and nutrition
counseling for pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children under
age five. Applicants must have a gross income (before taxes) equal
to or less than 185% of the federal poverty level. Foster care, Medical
Assistance, Temporary Cash Assistance and Food Supplement Program
