Independent Federal agency devoted to accessibility for people with disabilities. Gives specific information about mandated requirements for accessible design in new construction and alterations, technology accessibility standards, telecommunications accessibility guidelines, transportation ADA accessibility guidelines, and public rights-of-way.

Provide general ADA information, answer technical questions and investigate compliants, ADA enforcement information, ADA Title II and III regulations, and ADA statute. ADA Specialists are available to provide ADA information and answers to technical questions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. or on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. (Eastern Time).

Civil legal program assists the incarcerated population in representing themselves in pro se family law matters such as divorces, child support modification, name change, temporary guardianship, paternity, and visitation. Workshops are conducted at correctional facilities. Provide civil legal assistance to Maryland residents who meet financial eligibility guidelines.

Investigate consumer complaints about attorneys. The Commission takes disciplinary action (ranging from warnings to disbarment) against attorneys for violations of Maryland Rules of Professional Conduct. To file a complaint, call and request a complaint form.
The Commission does not recover fees or other damages.

Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Volunteer private practice attorneys are solicited by the Program to provide free legal guidance and/or representation in the areas of absolute divorce,
custody, name changes, adoption/guardianship, landlord tenant law, bankruptcy/debt collection matters, wills and powers of attorney, and in limited circumstances immigration and employment cases. Not equipped to handle emergency cases, modifications, or appeals. $25.00 processing fee.
Pro Bono Legal Advice Clinics:
In partnership with the Charles Gilchrist Center. Residents are served a first-come first-serve basis due to limited staffing. You must sign-in at each location during the first half hour of service to speak to an attorney that evening. Any residents needing specialized services or accommodations should contact the Pro Bono Office in advance. For community residents throughout the year at the following locations:
