Independence Now, Inc. - Benefits InfoSource Montgomery and Prince George's Counties: 301-587-4137 (V) Western and Tri-County, Southern, MD or Eastern Shore: 1-888-838-1776 (Toll Free) Provide a free outreach program for recipients of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), and Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI). Explain how other financial support services will be affected when a recipient returns to work, as well as providing benefits planning and information and referral. Also provide training on the "Ticket to Work" and other Social Security Work Incentives. Lifeline Verizon Telephone Service 1-800-942-5000 (V) Government program that offers qualified low-income households a discount on their monthly local telephone bill. Can only be used for the primary telephone line in a household. Eligibility is determined by income, household size and fuel type. EUSP helps eligible families to obtain safe, reliable, and affordable electric serivces and assist with past due electric bills.
