The Crisis Center provides 24-hour telephone or walk-in crisis counseling, brief crisis stabilization, and help in obtaining services for individuals and families in a situational or mental health crisis, for adult abused persons and for sexual assault victims. There is no charge for crisis services.

Walk-In: Monday from 9:00am - 10:30am and 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Tuesday through Friday from 9:00am - 11:00am and 1:00pm - 3:00pm. This team helps people living in Montgomery County obtain and/or access behavioral health services (mental health and substance abuse). Adult consumers who are eligible for substance abuse services are linked to the Addictions Services programs in the County. Consumers of all ages who are eligible for the Public Mental Health System are linked with providers who are able to provide the requested service at a location convenient for the consumer. Spanish language capacity is immediately available and consumers who speak other languages are assisted.

Provide healthcare to most medicaid recipients. Mental health services are provided by a Specialty Mental Health System administered by the Mental Hygiene Administration. The Enrollment Broker is available to assist you with any aspect of the enrollment process. You may enroll by mail, telephone, and face-to-face meeting, if requested, or if medically necessary. For assistance in making an application for HealthChoice, please contact the HealthChoice Enrollment Line. You may call Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 7:00pm.

Maryland Public Mental Health System

Provide inpatient and outpatient mental health services for individuals with mental illness, those with Medicaid and for others. Because of the severity of their illness and their financial need, some services within the benefits package may be available. There may be a small fee or co-pay required for individuals non-eligible for Medicaid.
