Adult Foster Care

Provides 24-hour supervision and care for frail seniors and persons with disabilities. A stipend is paid to care providers based on degree of care needed. Subsidies are available. Adult Foster Care providers are certified and monitored under the assisted living and adult foster care regulations.

Special Needs Housing
Special Needs Housing operates Housing Stabilization Services, including crisis intervention, Welfare Avoidance Grants (WAG), and Employment Support Grants (ESG), Rental Assistance, Home Energy Assistance Programs, and Homeless/Shelter Services to alleviate or prevent negative and/or distressing housing-related situations for Montgomery County residents. Special needs populations include homeless individuals and families, persons with mental health and substance abuse issues, individuals with developmental disabilities, transitioning youth, and seniors.
