Montgomery County Behavioral Health & Crisis Services

This team assists and helps people living in Montgomery County obtain and/or access behavioral health services (mental health and substance abuse). Adult consumers who are eligible for substance abuse services are linked to the Addictions Services programs in the County. Consumers of all ages who are eligible for the Public Mental Health System are linked with providers who are able to provide the requested service at a location convenient for the consumer. Spanish language capacity is immediately available and consumers who speak other languages are assisted.

Fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. Information on meetings held in Montgomery County are listed on their website.

State-wide substance abuse program for individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. The program is based at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. All staff members are fluent in American Sign Language and staff interpreters are on the premises at all times. The mobile treatment team will travel anywhere in the state of Maryland for individuals that do not live near the Baltimore area.

Therapists, skilled in American Sign Language, provide addiction treatment to those who are deaf, deaf-blind, and hard-of-hearing.
