The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) helps make your home or apartment more fuel efficient at no cost to eligible households.
Does MEAP effect my eligibility for Electric Universal Service Program (EUSP)?
No. If a customer qualifies for both MEAP and EUSP, both benefits may be received.
Who is eligible?
MEAP is available to all income eligible Maryland heating customers, both homeowners and renters, including roomer or boarder, regardless of whether you pay your heating costs.
When and where can I apply?
Customers may apply for both MEAP and EUSP on the same application.

The Electric Universal Service Program helps eligible families to obtain safe, reliable and affordable electric service.
What if my electric bill has an outstanding balance?
The Electric Universal Service Program (EUSP) assists with past due bills. All benefits are paid directly to the electric company.
What are Low Income Weatherization Services?
Some electric customers may receive help to improve energy efficiency in their homes. These services include air sealant and incidental repairs.
Does EUSP effect my eligibility for Maryland Energy Assistance Program?
No. If a customer qualifies for both MEAP and EUSP, both benefits may be received.
Who is eligible?
EUSP is available to all income eligible Maryland electric customers, both homeowners and renters. Customers who live in subsidized housing where heat is included in the rent may also be eligible for help from EUSP.
When and where can I apply?
Customer may apply for both MEAP and EUSP on the same application.
