Ten prizes of $500 each toward your rent, mortgage or utilities. Entertainment, Food, Prizes, and Activities for Children.

20th Annual Taste of Bethesda.
“A food and Music Festival in Bethesda, MD.” That allows you to sample the foods of more than 50 restaurants, enjoy four stages of live entertainment and visit the kids’ corner for cookie decorating, face painting and giveaways. Parking available in public garages. Admission is Free. Taste tickets are sold on-site in bundles of four tickets for $5. Each food serving costs one to four tickets. fundraiser benefiting the Children's Inn at NIH. The event is held in conjunction with “Best of Bethesda Day” featuring a Classic Car Show and Rescue Day.

18th Annual Oktoberfest at the Kentlands.
At Kentland Village Green community festival in which, amidst horse-drawn hayrides and pumpkin painting, festivalgoers can enjoy authentic Bavarian food and beer and lively performances by the Alte Kameraden German Band and Alt-Washingtonia Bavarian dancers. Lederhosen and dirndls are optional as Alt-Washingtonia instructs and encourages participation in some of their dances. Throughout the festival the attendees will find booths representing local merchants, organizations, artists and craftspeople.

Semi-Annual Health and Community Service Fair of the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center, Inc (CCACC)
It will include a seminar from 1:00-3:00PM and a Community Services and Health Fair from 3-6PM. Expected over 100 participants of Chinese origin. There will be various health screening including blood pressure, BMI, and/or bone density. CCACC will provide physicians for interpretation and consultation for the screening results.

Community Service Day
A special day for the community to give back. Many activities planned, including cleaning parks, painting homes, building and renovating structures, etc. This year the Department of Health and Human Services is conducting a food drive by their employees to benefit Manna Food and other area food banks.
