These resources will assist local health departments to improve their overall planning and response activities.

  • Emergency Response Planning for Child Care Providers-A collaborative effort between the child care community and public health, this toolkit is designed to plan and prepare child care providers for emergency events and to assist in the recovery effort by helping children cope with traumatic events.  Learn more...   • Emergency Preparedness Training Curriculum for Latino Health Promoters-Developed with the Montgomery County Latino Health Initiative Program, this curriculum is based on results from focus groups to develop a training for health promoters on emergency preparedness to increase the knowledge and change behaviors in the latino community on preparedness. Learn more...Furthermore, an additional module was developed titled, Pandemic Flu Training Module for Health Promoters this module focuses on Pandemic Flu materials for Latino Health Promoters to use in their community.  Learn more...

  • Computer Models-Montgomery County, APC has developed numerous computer models with the University of Maryland, Institute for Systems Research, including the Clinic Planning Model Generator, eMedCheck, Alternate Care Site (ACS) Surge Model and online Computer Modeling Training Courses.
