NEIGHBORHOOD STREETS

These streets typically are the streets that interconnect in a neighborhood or subdivision and they may or may not have concrete or asphalt curbs along the road edges. They are usually maintained by micro surfacing or a thin coating of chip seal after street repairs have been made.

The Primary Road that the neighborhood streets feed into may be maintained with a thicker layer of asphalt. This is because those roads may have heavier traffic volumes, have bus routes or are designated as salt routes.
