¡Celebremos el Mes de la Herencia Hispana! Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month! en Español In English
Bibliotecas Públicas del Condado Celebran Mes de la Herencia Hispana
Con motivo de la Celebración del Mes de la Herencia Hispana 2009 -- 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre -- las Bibliotecas Públicas del Condado de Montgomery (MCPL) presentarán al grupo Musical Cantare y Mariachi Los Amigos con una variedad de programas musicales gratuitos en sus sucursales. Todos los programas comenzarán a las 2 p.m. y no se requiere inscripción.
El grupo musical Cantare con Patricia Vergara del Brasil y Cecilia Esquivel de la Argentina deleitarán al público con una selección variada de música y ritmos en español y portugués que incluye participación del público, a la vez que se aprende el valor histórico y cultural de las canciones.

Montgomery County Public Libraries Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month with Family-oriented Programs
Montgomery County Public Libraries will celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month -- September 15 to October 15 -- with free musical performances by Cantare and Mariachi Los Amigos at local branches. All programs begin at 2 p.m., and no registration is required.
Cantare artists Patricia Vergara of Brazil and Cecilia Esquivel from Argentina will introduce audiences to the songs and rhythms of Latin America. The lively interactive performance, featuring a blend of songs in Spanish and Portuguese, will provide the background of the music’s culture and history.
Mariachi Los Amigos will perform a diverse repertoire of mariachi music from the latest canción ranchera (country song) to romantic boleros, lively polkas and hard-driving jaliscienses.
The programs are funded through a grant provided by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, Inc.
