Ideas from August 23rd Meeting with teens:

Excel Spreadsheet with the list of ideas generated by the 25 plus individuals who attended the August 23rd public meeting for teens.

The facilitation of the afternoon meeting for teens was done by Tiffany Spencer from the Ghandi Brigade and the Library Department’s Public Services Administrator for Facilities and Strategic Management Rita Gale. Silver Spring Branch Manager Dan Beavin, Behrooz Alemi from the County Department of General Services, and Greg Lukmire and Bill Evans from The Lukmire Partnership, Inc. (architectural firm) were also present.

The Excel document has four sheets:

1. SPACES: ideas suggested for the spaces uses desired by teens in the new library,
2. COLORS: what would like in the use of color in teen spaces in the new library,
3. THE ARTS: ideas for how to use the walls in the teen space in the new building.
4. COLLECTION: what teens would like in the materials (books, nonprint) purchased for the new teen space in the new library
