Montgomery County Board of License Commissioners

 

The Board of License Commissioners is charged with regulating the sale and distribution of alcohol in accordance with Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland and has full power and authority to adopt such reasonable rules and regulations as the board deems necessary to enable it to effectively discharge the duties imposed upon it by Article 2B.

The Board of License Commissioners issues licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages and may revoke or suspend licenses, or issue fines up to $20,000 for violations. If a license is revoked, the licensee may never hold a license in Maryland and no one can apply for a license for that location for six months.
