All MCPL branches, except the Noyes Library for Young Children, sell the following:
Senior SmarTrip cards from Metro for $5.00
For seniors, age 65 and older. You must show a valid, government-issued photo ID that displays your date of birth, and you must complete a registration form. You will get a bright-yellow plastic SmarTrip card to which you can add fare value at any Metrorail station and on any Metrobus. Reduced senior-rate fares are automatically deducted from the card when you ride Metro.
Senior Discount Farecards from Metro for $10.00 each
For seniors, age 65 and older, who show a valid paper senior ID card from Metro. These paper senior ID's are being phased out by Metro.
Metro Discount Farecards for riders with disabilities for $10.00 each
For people who show a Metro Disability ID card.
For more information about fares, ID's, and SmarTrip cards, please visit Metro.
The libraries do not sell any Ride-On bus passes. See more about Ride-On.
