Acrobat Reader Help

|
  |
When the Adobe Reader pops up on your screen you will find a tool bar
on the top and a comprehensive help file. Adobe Acrobat is very easy to use and includes
many capabilities and functions, including the capability of completing forms on-line and
printing them out on your local printer.
Here are some tips to get you started:
As soon as the first screen pops up go to the View Menu and select
"BookMarks and Pages." A frame will appear on the left hand side of the monitor
with a list of all of the pages in the file. Clicking on any bookmark will take you to the
page. You can also go to the "Thumbnails and Pages" view. The
"Thumbnails" view will provide yo with a graphic representation of each page,
rather than a bookmark. Clicking on the Thumbnail will take you to the page.
To fill out a form:
Select the hand tool.
Position the cursor inside a form field. The I-beam cursor allows you
to type text. The arrow cursor allows you to select the field.
After entering text, press tab to accept the field change and go to
the next field.
Press Shift+Tab to accept the field change and go to
the previous field.
Press Return or Enter to accept the
field change and deselect the current field.
In a multiline text field, Return goes to the next
line; it does not accept the field change or deselct the current field.
The checkboxes and radio buttons are not operational. You will have
to complete this part of the form in black ink after it is printed out.
This version of Acrobat 3.0 was recently released [and it has some
bugs], and some of the tabs may not work at times. If you are stuck on a field go to the
next field, and complete the empty field in black ink after it is printed out.
The first time you enter text in a field all the other identical
fields will also be completed.
Note that some forms you cannot complete until additional action is
taken-- such as service of process. Print these forms out and file them until they are
ready to be used.
Note that some forms are not used in some counties for an Uncontested
Divorce (Request for a Master's Hearing).
Sticky-Notes: The Yellow
Sticky-Notes on the forms will provide you with additional information on how to complete
a form field. These sticky notes will not print out when you print out your forms.
Printing:
You can print out either a range of pages, the current pages, or all
pages.
Note that flow charts must be printed in landscape mode (horizontal).
Do not print out the entire set of pages in one batch. The flow charts (or flow chart for
your county) should be printed out separately in landscape mode.
After printing out your forms you should make at least 3 (or more
copies).
