     Montgomery County fire and rescue services will be conducting a
series of training exercises in two vacant buildings in downtown Silver
Spring.

     No actual firefighting will take place in the buildings, however,
theatrical smoke will be used to simulate conditions for search and rescue
operations.  At times, smoke may exit from windows and doors, giving the
appearance that the building is on fire.
