Groups Using County School Space
Should Make Requests by February 1

Community groups planning to use space in Montgomery County schools between April 1 and August 31 should submit their requests between January 18 and February 1.

Requests for weekday use should include a completed Building Use Form, check or money order payable to Montgomery County, Maryland, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and be submitted directly to the school where space is requested. Requests for weekend and holiday use should be submitted, in person, to the Community Use of Public Facilities office, 600 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 300, Rockville, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Staff will assist in calculating fees. Please bring a check or money order for full payment and a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Mastercard and Visa are also accepted.

The Interagency Coordinating Board has implemented a pilot program for improved coordination of athletic field usage at selected schools. Requests for the following schools should be submitted to the Community Use of Public Facilities office: Baker MS, Banneker MS, Beall ES, Belmont ES, Brooke Grove ES, Burnt Mills ES, Cedar Grove ES, Clarksburg ES, Clearspring ES, Cloverly ES, College Gardens ES, Cresthaven ES, Damascus ES, Drew ES, Farquhar MS, Jackson Road ES, Key MS, Laytonsville ES, Olney ES, Ritchie Park ES, Rocky Hill MS, Rockwell ES, Rosa Parks MS, Sherwood ES, Twinbrook ES, Julius West MS, Westover ES, White Oak MS and Woodfield ES.

Athletic fields at all other schools are scheduled directly with the school requested. In order to avoid scheduling conflicts, Building Use Forms must be submitted for all field use activities. Because fields are in short supply, users are asked to share fields for small group activities and youth practices whenever possible.

Requests received after February 1 for any remaining space will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Building Use Forms and fee information are available at all Montgomery County Public Schools and the Community Use of Public Facilities office. For more information, call 240-777-2706.
