Duncan Seeks Applicants For
Energy And Air Quality Advisory Committee

County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill five vacancies on the Energy and Air Quality Advisory Committee. Three incumbents are eligible to apply for reappointment. Individuals with either an air quality or energy background are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be Montgomery County residents.

The 15-member committee advises the County Executive and County Council on the development, promotion and implementation of programs to heighten energy awareness, increase energy efficiency and improve indoor and outdoor air quality. Members serve three year terms without compensation. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month in Rockville.

Applicants should write by April 7 to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe St., Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume, including home and work telephone numbers, should be enclosed. Incumbents reapplying should indicate their employment status in their letter or send an updated resume. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.

Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
