Community Forum Scheduled
To Discuss Wheaton Redevelopment

A Community Forum designed to help residents and business people understand the impact of redevelopment on downtown Wheaton will be held on February 9, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Mid-County Services Center, 2424 Reedie Drive.

Hosted by the Wheaton Urban Advisory Board, Mid-County Services Center and the Community-Based Planning Division of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, the forum will present the opportunities and constraints associated with redevelopment of Wheaton's urban area under the 1990 Sector Plan. In addition, residents will be able to examine current zoning for the area and exchange ideas with the Georgia Avenue Corridor staff, led by Khalid Afzal.
