COUNTY PARTICIPATES IN AREA-WIDE
SENIOR INFORMATION DAY
Answers to questions about area resources for senior citizens and other aging issues will be available by telephone (toll-free 1-877-255-4227) during the first-ever metropolitan-wide Senior Information Day, scheduled for Wednesday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Information specialists from Montgomery County's Area Agency on Aging, as well as other local jurisdictions are partnering with the Jewish Council for the Aging of Greater Washington and WETA TV 26/90.9 FM to sponsor the event.
During Senior Information Day, a single toll-free telephone call will enable callers to access free information on housing, employment, elder law, in-home care, financial planning, nursing homes, transportation, health and wellness, and many other topics of interest. The telephone service is free and confidential.
In addition to the telephone resource, information will be available by e-mail at seniorinfo@jcagw.org. Specialists will provide follow-up information after the event.
For more information about Senior Information Day, call the Jewish Council on Aging at 301-255-4222 or visit the Senior Information Day web site at www.weta.org/senior.
