U.S. Navy's Bluegrass Quartet
Featured at Gaithersburg Library
"Nights of Notes" Series
The United States Navy Band's Country Current bluegrass quartet will perform traditional, contemporary and original bluegrass compositions at the next free "Nights of Notes" series concert to be held at the Gaithersburg Regional Library on April 19, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The acoustic ensemble has performed before standing-room-only audiences around the country and throughout the metropolitan area. Among the venues played last year were the Kissimmee Bluegrass festival in Florida, the "Winterhawk" festival in New York State and the Cherokee Bluegrass festival in North Carolina. County Current has also performed at Opryland Park and has been featured on TNN's "Nashville Now."
