Duncan Seeks Applicants to Fill
Board of Social Services Vacancies

County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill two vacancies on the Montgomery County Board of Social Services. The nine-member board advises the Department of Health and Human Services and the Social Services Officer on income assistance, services to adults, and matters related to children, including child protection and child care.

Members serve three-year terms without compensation and meet the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in Rockville.

Applicants should write by April 21 to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume, including work and home phone numbers, should be included. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.

Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
