Duncan Seeks Applicants For
Library Board Vacancies
County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill four vacancies on the Montgomery County Library Board. Two incumbents are eligible to apply for reappointment.
The 12-member Advisory Board give community input to the County Executive on matters affecting the public library systems. Members serve three-year terms without compensation. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Department of Public Libraries, Administrative Offices, on the second floor of the Rockville Library. There are also two or three other meetings during the month at various other Libraries which members are expected to attend.
Applicants should write by May 5 to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume should be enclosed. Work and home phone numbers should be included. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.
Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
