Montgomery County Golf Tour 2000 Program
Launched by County's Revenue Authority

A new program designed to promote play at the five Revenue Authority golf courses in Montgomery County has been announced by the Authority.

Under the Montgomery County Golf (MCG) Tour 2000 program, golfers will present a Tour 2000 card which will be punched when they play a round at each of the five courses operated by the Revenue Authority: Poolesville, Laytonsville, Rattlewood (in Mt. Airy), Falls Road (in Potomac) and the newest course, Hampshire Greens (in Ashton). Tour 2000 cardholders who play all five courses may then receive a free round of golf at the course of their choice.

MCG Tour 2000 cards are available - free - at any of the five courses or by accessing the authority's golf web site at www.montgomerycountygolf.com.

Tour 2000 participants are also eligible for a variety of prizes, including Orioles baseball tickets, a golf getaway and golf clubs.

"We're very excited about Tour 2000," said Marc Atz, executive director of the Revenue Authority. "We have recently undertaken an ambitious effort to improve each of our courses, and Tour 2000 is the perfect opportunity for golfers to enjoy the first phase of improvements at both Laytonsville and Poolesville.

"Tour 2000 will give golfers the chance to enjoy the best golf Montgomery County has to offer," Atz said.

Tour 2000 will run until December 31, 2000.
