Duncan Seeks Applicants For
Housing Opportunities Commission

County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill one vacancy on Montgomery County's Housing Opportunities Commission. The incumbent is eligible and intends to apply for reappointment.

The seven-member commission is responsible for building, managing and financing housing for low and moderate income people. Members serve five year terms with no compensation.

Commissioners are required to file confidential financial statements yearly. Meetings are usually held the first and third Wednesday evening of each month in Kensington. Additional meetings are scheduled as needed. Members are required to attend at least 75 percent of the scheduled meetings.

Applicants should write by May 5 to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume with work and home telephone numbers should be enclosed. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.

Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
