DUNCAN SEEKS APPLICANTS TO FILL VACANCIES
ON ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON CONSUMER AFFAIRS

County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to five vacancies on the Advisory Committee on Consumer Affairs. Four vacancies are for public-at-large representatives, and one vacancy is to be filled from a person nominated from the Community Action Board. One incumbent is eligible to apply for reappointment. One vacancy is for a partial term expiring in 10/2001.

The nine-member committee advises the County's Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Division of Consumer Affairs. Members serve three-year terms without compensation. Meetings are held the first Tuesday morning of each month in Rockville at 8:00 a.m.

Interested applicants should write to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan no later than July 7 at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume including home and work telephone numbers should be enclosed. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.

Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
