Germantown Glory Celebration
Kicks Off Independence Day Activities

Independence Day celebrations in Montgomery County will kick off with Germantown Glory festivities on Monday, July 3 beginning at 6:30 p.m., with live entertainment, family activities, food and fireworks. The celebration will take place on the grounds of Seneca Valley High School, 12700 Middlebrook Road.

The Fabulous Hubcaps will perform their classic rock and roll show at 6:45 p.m., followed by fireworks at dark. Food will be sold on site beginning at 6:30 p.m. Parking is available at the Upcounty Regional Services Center and nearby public parking areas.

To help ensure pedestrian safety, the following roads will be closed at 6 p.m. on July 3: Wisteria Drive from Walter Johnson Rd. to Great Seneca Highway; Great Seneca Highway between Wisteria and Middlebrook Road; Middlebrook Rd. from Great Seneca Highway to Crystal Rock Drive; and Crystal Rock Drive from Wisteria to Middlebrook.

The raindate, for fireworks only, is July 5.
