DRIVE WITH CARE; WALK WITH CAUTION:
COUNTY LAUNCHES PEDESTRIAN SAFETY CAMPAIGN

It's summer -- time to be outdoors, have fun, and Walk Smart! Watch for turning vehicles, obey traffic signs, and cross safely. Don't be dead right! Walk With Caution.

And drivers, remember… you're pedestrians, too. Drive Smart. Give pedestrians a "brake". Stop for pedestrians (yes, it's the law). Don't run that light, obey the speed limit, and stop on red before turning right. Drive With Care.

Montgomery County wants you to have a safe summer.

(Name of radio station) presents your "Drive Smart" tip of the day:

Day 1: Obey the posted speed limit and always stop for pedestrians. It's the law!
Day 2: Obey traffic signs, signals and markings. Never run a red light!
Day 3: When turning right on red: stop, look and always yield to pedestrians.
Day 4: Be courteous and give pedestrians a "brake." Remember you're a pedestrian, too!

Montgomery County wants you to have a safe summer, so please remember to "Drive With Care and Walk With Caution."
